Ramon Dino was born Ramon Rocha Queiroz, O Povo writes, and he grew up, Diário do Grande ABC reported, in a simple creek-side area of Rio Branco, the capital of the Brazilian state of Acre, where the family house flooded in the rainy seasons. With no money to pay for a gym, the paper wrote, he began training in the city’s public squares; O Povo says he did calisthenics every day. In the beginning, he told the paper, it was hard: he even had to buy on credit.
He first competed in 2016, Diário do Grande ABC reported, when he won the Rondônia state contest, and in 2018 he earned his pro card by winning the Mr. Olympia Brasil. The paper calls the Mr. Olympia the main tournament of world bodybuilding, and in his first one, in 2021, he finished a surprising fifth. In the next two, the paper wrote, he was runner-up, behind the Canadian Chris Bumstead: the official Men’s Classic Physique results for 2022 and 2023 both read “1 Chris Bumstead, 2 Ramon Rocha Queiroz.” At the 2022 Arnold Classic he was second, too, behind Terrence Ruffin.
In 2024, Diário do Grande ABC wrote, Dino sweated during his presentation, which hurt the judges’ scoring and left him only fourth; Rádio Itatiaia reported that he even saw his tan paint melt on stage. He was disappointed with his poor performance in 2024, he told Diário do Grande ABC, and it all affected him psychologically. So he rebuilt his team and began working with coach Fabrício Pacholok, whom O Povo profiled as his new coach in January 2025. Rádio Itatiaia reported that he chose not to compete at the 2025 Arnold Classic Ohio, and the new preparation, Diário do Grande ABC wrote, kept him away from any other competition.
The 2025 Olympia was in Las Vegas, and on Saturday night, October 11, Fitness Volt reported, “Ramon Rocha ‘Dino’ Queiroz collapsed to his knees on the Resorts World stage … overcome with emotion.” The official result read “1 Ramon Rocha Queiroz, 2 Mike Sommerfeld, 3 Terrence Ruffin.” The new preparation, Diário do Grande ABC wrote, culminated in a historic win: he became the first Brazilian man to win the Classic Physique title at the Mr. Olympia. “I dreamt of this moment a lot of times,” he said during his victory interview with MC Bob Cicherillo, Fitness Volt reported.
By October 15, Diário do Grande ABC reported, he had landed at Guarulhos Airport with the championship medal on his chest and the Brazilian flag on his back, left the terminal on top of a fire truck and paraded in an open car along Avenida Paulista. And the debt from his early days? In fact, he joked, he needs to go back and pay it. A year later, at the 2026 Olympia, he finished third, behind Niall Darwen and Mike Sommerfeld.

Notes
“Second in the world”: the Short’s way of saying he was runner-up twice at the Olympia, which Diário do Grande ABC calls the main tournament of world bodybuilding. He wasn’t always second there: he was fifth in 2021 and fourth in 2024 (official results).
The 2024 place: Rádio Itatiaia says fifth; the official result, and Diário do Grande ABC, say fourth.
“The first Brazilian man ever to win it” refers to the Classic Physique title at the Mr. Olympia only, as Diário do Grande ABC reports it.
Chris Bumstead had retired after the 2024 Olympia (Fitness Volt, O Povo), so he wasn’t in the 2025 final. The Short doesn’t say Dino beat him, only that he won the title.
A popular retelling adds a message and a promise before the 2025 final; we found no reliable source for them, in English or Portuguese, so they aren’t used.
The date: Fitness Volt and Diário do Grande ABC put the win on Saturday night, October 11, 2025; the official results list the contest from October 10. In 2026 he finished third (NPC News Online, O Povo); the Short tells only the 2025 win.
Ramon Dino, Fabrício Pacholok and Chris Bumstead are alive. Only contest results, published reporting and Dino’s own published words are used; nothing about his private life, and no health, diet or drug claims. Diet details in the Short’s fifth and last lines were left out here, so the page keeps only that he had to buy on credit and joked that he still owes that debt. The Portuguese quotes are given in Portuguese, and the English after them is our translation.
Pictures: no free photo shows any Olympia final he was in, the 2024 contest, the moment he won or Chris Bumstead; every picture of those moments we found is federation, agency or broadcast work, so none is used. Ramon Dino (no. 7) is seen on stage at the 2022 Arnold Classic in Columbus, Ohio, on March 4, 2022, where he placed second, in a photo taken from the audience (Presbyterian Doberman Pinscher), and with the 2025 Olympia trophy at a sponsor event in Brazil on October 16, 2025, five days after the win, in three phone photos: pointing up, smiling with a finger raised, and beside his coach, Fabrício Pacholok, who wears the Olympia medal (FotografoWallacyFerrari). The flood is the Acre river in Rio Branco on April 17, 2011, not his house or his neighborhood (Cecifranca), and the square is Praça da Revolução in Rio Branco on March 3, 2018, not known to be one he trained in (Assis Lima/MTur). The Olympia stage is seen in Las Vegas on September 26, 2008, 17 years before his win, with no one on it (Eddie Maloney), and Resorts World Las Vegas, where the 2025 final was held, at night on May 14, 2026, seven months later (Yelderberry).
